How is the L. reuteri strain in HeliPass™ different from L. reuteri in other probiotics?
42 views  March 11, 2019
The Lactobacillus reuteri strain DSM 17648 exhibits glycoproteins on the surface which bind specifically to Helicobacter pylori; these structures are unique to this L. reuteri strain: a large number of other L. reuteri strains were tested in the laboratory and did not show co-aggregation with H. pylori. HeliPass™ specifically binds to Helicobacter pylori and does not bind to other bacteria of the gut (See Holz C. et al 2014 study).
