What is histamine?
137 views  March 11, 2019
Histamine occurs naturally in the body. In the event of an allergic reaction it is one of the hormones released which is a neurotransmitter which can cause symptoms or allergic reactions such as itching, sneezing, wheezing as well as running noses and eyes. Reducing the histamine load is key especially as the hormone has been linked with inflammation within the intestines causing permeability and is now linked with various food intolerances and the accompanying symptoms. Reducing histamine will naturally alleviate these allergic reactions and support the bodies natural diamine oxidase (DAO Enzyme) in the gut and histamine n-methyltransferase (HNMT Enzyme) in the muscle and tissue.
