Toxaprevent FAQ's
How quickly will I see a difference taking Toxaprevent?
This can vary from person to person. Your experience will depend on factors such as your symptoms, digestive health, and long-term exposure to unwanted substances.
Some people notice a difference quite quickly, sometimes within the first week, while for others it may take several weeks or longer. This is because histamine overload and environmental toxin burden do not usually develop overnight. They tend to build gradually, and supporting the body’s natural clearance processes can also take time.
Toxaprevent begins working in the gut as soon as it is taken, where it adsorbs histamine and other unwanted compounds, allowing them to be removed naturally through the digestive tract. With consistent daily use, Toxaprevent reduces the overall burden placed on the body over time.
This is especially helpful because exposure is ongoing. For many people, the challenge is not only histamine from food, but also everyday exposure to substances such as ammonium, heavy metals, mould, mycotoxins and other amines. While the body works hard to process and eliminate these, modern life can sometimes place that system under greater pressure.
By binding these compounds in the gut and supporting their natural removal, Toxaprevent offers daily whole-body support that fits easily into a long-term wellness routine.
Toxaprevent is suitable for daily and longer-term use. Because it acts transiently in the gut (i.e., travelling through the gut and exiting the body via stool) it does not lead to dependency and is well tolerated for daily use.
How long can you use Toxaprevent for?
Toxaprevent is suitable for daily use and can be taken for longer periods as needed, part of your regular wellness routine.
Its active ingredient, Zeolite Clinoptilolite MANC®, works only within the digestive tract. It is not absorbed by the body and does not act through a pharmacological or immunological effect. Instead, it adsorbs certain unwanted environmental pollutants in the gut and carries them out of the body naturally through bowel movements.
Because Toxaprevent works in this local, non-systemic way, it does not lead to dependency or a diminishing effect over time. This makes it well-suited for ongoing use, particularly for those seeking consistent daily support from everyday exposure.
How you choose to use Toxaprevent can vary depending on your individual needs, lifestyle, digestive health, and everyday exposure to unwanted compounds. Many people choose to use it daily as part of a longer-term approach, especially because modern life brings regular exposure to irritants and environmental stressors and toxins that place extra pressure on the gut and body.
By helping to bind and remove selected compounds directly within the digestive tract, Toxaprevent supports the body’s natural elimination processes and helps maintain a cleaner, more balanced gut environment over time.
How does Toxaprevent work?
Toxaprevent works in the digestive tract, where it adsorbs excess histamine and other unwanted compounds we are exposed to daily before they can place a burden on the body. These include substances such as ammonium, heavy metals, mould, mycotoxins and other amines such as tyramine and nitrosamine, all of which can contribute to digestive imbalance and heightened sensitivity.
Because a significant proportion of histamine production occurs in the gut, supporting this environment can be an important part of reducing the overall histamine load. During periods of food sensitivity, microbiome imbalance, or digestive irritation i.e. leaky gut, histamine in the gut rises. Toxaprevent is designed to help by binding histamine directly within the digestive tract and toxins which trigger the release of histamine from the mast cells, so they can be eliminated naturally through normal bowel movements.
At the heart of Toxaprevent is a purified, carefully processed form of clinoptilolite zeolite, known as MANC® which stands for Modified Activated Natural Clinoptilolite. This natural mineral has a unique porous structure and surface charge that allows it to adsorb certain positively charged compounds in the gut through physical binding. A simple way to think about it is as a highly selective “clean-up system” that travels through the digestive tract, capturing unwanted substances and carrying them out of the body through the stool.
Because Toxaprevent works locally in the gut and is not absorbed into the bloodstream, it helps reduce the amount of environmental toxins in the body.
Is Toxaprevent suitable for vegetarians/vegans?
Yes, all Toxaprevent products are safe for both vegetarians and vegans. There are no animals or their byproducts used in the ingredient or in the manufacturing process.
How do I determine the right dosage for Toxaprevent
Each of our Toxaprevent products come with recommended dosage instructions, which you can find on the product insert found in the packaging or in the product description on our website. It's important to follow these guidelines for optimal results.
Please note that we also offer protocols for targeted approaches for specific health areas. Individual needs may vary, and it's always a good idea to consult with your healthcare practitioner to determine the appropriate dosage based on your specific health profile and goals.
What is the difference between Toxaprevent Sachets and Toxaprevent Capsules?
The main difference lies in where they work within the digestive tract.
Toxaprevent Medi Plus Sachets are designed to begin working earlier in the digestive journey, supporting the upper gastrointestinal tract, including the mouth, oesophagus, and stomach.
Toxaprevent Medi Pure Capsules are designed with a delayed-release, using an acid-resistant vegan capsule, that allows the capsules to pass through the stomach before opening further down in the digestive tract, the duodenum, intestines, and colon.
This is why the two Toxaprevent products are recommended to be used as a combined approach; the sachets provide support higher up in the digestive system, while the capsules are designed to work further along the gut. Together, they offer more complete support across the gastrointestinal tract and body.
Because the sachets begin working earlier, much of their adsorption activity takes place in the upper GI tract. The capsules, by contrast, are protected until they reach the lower gut, where they can provide more targeted support in the intestines and colon.
Depending on your routine and the area of digestive support you are focusing on, the products can be used individually or together. Many people choose to combine them as part of a broader Toxaprevent protocol.
What does Toxaprevent contain?
Toxaprevent contains Zeolite Clinoptilolite MANC®, a highly purified, carefully processed form of natural clinoptilolite zeolite designed to work locally within the digestive tract.
This unique mineral has a naturally porous structure and surface charge that allows it to adsorb selected unwanted substances in the gut through physical binding. Once bound, these substances are naturally excreted from the body via bowel movements.
The active ingredient in Toxaprevent is medical-grade Zeolite Clinoptilolite MANC® (Modified Activated Natural Clinoptilolite). It undergoes a specialised purification and activation process designed to ensure exceptional purity, consistency, and safety. This careful processing is one of the reasons Toxaprevent stands apart as a premium-quality product and why it has been approved as a medical device since 2006.
An important part of this process is particle optimisation. Toxaprevent is designed to work only in the gut, rather than be absorbed into the bloodstream. This is central to how the product works and why it is so well-suited to provide a whole-body detox.
Our Zeolite Clinoptilolite MANC® has been studied, proven and patented for its ability to adsorb a range of unwanted compounds in the digestive tract, including:
- Histamine
- Ammonium
- Mould
- Mycotoxins
- Aflatoxins
- Ochratoxins
- Heavy metals such as mercury, lead, aluminium, cadmium, arsenic, nickel, and tin
- Biogenic amines such as tyramine, dimethylamine and nitrosamine
In the EU, UK and parts of the UAE, Toxaprevent is classified as a medical device. While the presentation may feel clinical, the active ingredient itself is of natural mineral origin. Its medical device classification reflects the fact that our third-party governing body has rigorously assessed its mode of action, safety, and binding performance, TUV Rheinland: See Our Certificate.
In simple terms, Toxaprevent is designed to stay and bind to toxins put into circulation in the gut. Selectively bind these unwanted environmental substances and support their natural elimination from the body.
Can I take Toxaprevent with my supplements at the same time?
Yes, Toxaprevent doesn't interfere with vitamins, minerals or supplements. This is due to the size of the active ingredient. Minerals have a lower ionic charge compared to mercury, for example. The Zeolite Clinoptilolite has more of an affinity (attraction) to the toxins.
It's one of the reasons Toxaprevent is classified as a medical device: this key safety feature.
Will Toxaprevent cause constipation?
Toxaprevent is well tolerated, but some people may notice changes in bowel habits, including constipation, particularly when first introducing it into their routine.
If this happens, it is usually a sign that a few simple adjustments may help. The two most common reasons are:
- Not drinking enough water. Toxaprevent uses water to transport through the gut. Both Toxaprevent and your gut need water to transport.
- Not getting enough fibre and overall digestive support from the diet
Because Toxaprevent works in the digestive tract by adsorbing unwanted substances, it is especially important to stay well hydrated throughout the day.
Adequate fluid intake helps support normal bowel movements and comfortable digestion.
Diet can also make a meaningful difference. Restrictive eating patterns, common among those trying to manage food sensitivities, i.e. histamine intolerance, can sometimes reduce intake of fibre-rich, nourishing foods that help support regularity.
Including a balanced mix of soluble fibre, insoluble fibre, and protein may help promote more comfortable bowel movements.
Helpful dietary ideas from our nutritionist Tracey:
- Increasing fibre-rich vegetables such as broccoli, sweet potato, cauliflower, and edamame
- Choosing slightly green bananas, which contain resistant starch
- Including lentils, beans, or legumes where suitable
- Adding flaxseeds, chia seeds, or nuts to meals
- Preparing some cooked carbohydrates in ways that increase resistant starch
- Make sure your daily water intake is sufficient, up to 3 litres daily
Some of our customers choose to speak with their healthcare practitioner about whether additional digestive support, such as magnesium, may be appropriate for them.
If constipation occurs, it is usually manageable with these simple adjustments. If symptoms persist or feel significant, it is always best to check in with your healthcare practitioner, and you can also reach out to us for further advice.
How to combine the Toxaprevent Sachets and Toxaprevent Capsules?
It all depends on your aim and the health goals you are trying to hit. Are you trying to clear excess histamine? Detox Heavy Metals, or have a long-term issue of acid reflux caused by H. Pylori? Then there are specific protocols designed by our practitioners. However, if you want a general whole body detox, then the best protocol is:
- Take 2 x Toxaprevent Capsules 30 minutes before a meal 3 times daily.
- Mix 1 x Toxaprevent Medi Plus Sachet in 300ml of water and drink 1-2 hours after your final meal of the day.
We would recommend following this protocol daily for at least three months.
Does Toxaprevent contain gluten, dairy, wheat, soy, or other allergens?
Toxaprevent is designed with purity and simplicity in mind. The range is vegan and formulated without any of the 14 major allergens.
Its active ingredient, Zeolite Clinoptilolite MANC® (Modified Activated Natural Clinoptilolite), is a carefully purified form of natural clinoptilolite zeolite sourced from mineral-rich volcanic material. It undergoes a specialised purification and activation process to ensure exceptional cleanliness, consistency, and quality.
Toxaprevent products are also free from animal-derived ingredients, blood products, by-products, and alcohol.
Toxaprevent is a clean, minimalist formulation centred around high-purity clinoptilolite zeolite, with a strong focus on quality, tolerability, and everyday suitability.
When should I take Toxaprevent?
The ideal timing depends on which Toxaprevent product you are using and the protocol you are following.
As a general guide, Toxaprevent is best taken away from meals. This is because food components can reduce its available binding capacity in the gut. Leaving space between Toxaprevent and meals helps it work more effectively within the digestive tract.
For protocols focused on histamine support and gut health, Toxaprevent is typically taken:
- 30 minutes to 2 hours before food, or at least 2 hours after food
In general, the more time between meals, the better.
For protocols centred on heavy metal support, Toxaprevent Medi Pure Capsules are often recommended around 30 minutes before food. This timing aligns with normal digestive processes, helping the capsules work in the gut at an appropriate point in the digestive cycle.
It is also worth noting that taking Toxaprevent too close to food may reduce its binding efficiency, as components of the meal, particularly proteins, can cover the particle's surface. For this reason, taking it separately from meals is usually preferred unless your specific protocol advises otherwise.
For best results, always follow the guidance for your individual product or protocol.
Will Toxaprevent bind to my body’s nutrients and minerals?
Toxaprevent is designed to act selectively within the digestive tract and is formulated to avoid interaction with essential nutrients and minerals when used as directed.
Its active ingredient, Zeolite Clinoptilolite MANC®, undergoes a specialised purification and optimisation process, including careful control of the particle size. This is designed to support targeted adsorption within the gut while remaining local to the gastrointestinal tract rather than being absorbed into the bloodstream.
Our long-term data generated as part of its medical device assessment indicates that regular use of Toxaprevent does not adversely affect micronutrient or essential mineral status. This is one of the reasons it is well suited for ongoing use within a broader wellness routine.
As a general precaution, Toxaprevent should be taken at least 2 hours before or after medication.
Do I need to take a week’s break after using Toxaprevent for one month?
A break is not necessary, and many people use Toxaprevent daily as part of their ongoing health routine, particularly for prevention.
This is because the active ingredient, Zeolite Clinoptilolite MANC®, works only within the digestive tract. It is not absorbed into the body. Instead, it adsorbs selected unwanted environmental toxins in the gut and is then naturally eliminated through bowel movements.
Because Toxaprevent works in this local, non-systemic way, it is well suited for regular use over time.
You may notice that some packaging includes guidance about taking a break after a defined period of use. This wording reflects standard labelling requirements associated with its medical device classification. For daily use, it is best to follow the guidance provided for your specific product, protocol, or practitioner recommendation.
Can I take Toxaprevent if I am breastfeeding?
Even though Toxaprevent stays only in the digestive tract. We don't have enough research to show its safety during breastfeeding. You can only take Toxaprevent during breastfeeding if you were taking it prior to becoming pregnant and during your pregnancy.
Can I take Toxaprevent if I am pregnant?
Toxaprevent is not recommended during pregnancy unless you have been specifically advised otherwise by your healthcare practitioner.
Although Toxaprevent works locally in the digestive tract and is not absorbed into the bloodstream, there is currently insufficient research to confirm its safety during pregnancy.
If you were already using Toxaprevent before becoming pregnant, it is especially important to speak with your healthcare practitioner or midwife before continuing.
Does Toxaprevent have side effects?
Toxaprevent is well-tolerated. Because its active ingredient, Zeolite Clinoptilolite MANC®, works locally within the digestive tract and is not absorbed into the bloodstream, it is designed to physically draw toxins from the gut rather than systemically throughout the body.
Most people use Toxaprevent without any notable issues. The most commonly reported change is constipation or firmer stools, particularly if fluid intake is too low. For this reason, it is important to stay well hydrated and to support regular digestion with a balanced intake of fibre-rich foods.
If constipation does occur, simple adjustments can often help, such as increasing water intake and ensuring the diet includes enough fibre, carbohydrates, and protein to support comfortable bowel movements. Some people may also wish to speak with their healthcare practitioner about whether additional digestive support, such as magnesium, may be appropriate for them.
If you are ever unsure about how Toxaprevent feels for you, our team is always happy to help guide you alongside your practitioner's advice where needed.
What is MANC® (Modified Activated Natural Clinoptilolite), the zeolite ingredient in Toxaprevent?
MANC® stands for Modified Activated Natural Clinoptilolite. The carefully processed form of clinoptilolite zeolite used in Toxaprevent.
Clinoptilolite is a naturally occurring mineral of volcanic origin, valued for its porous structure and ability to adsorb selected unwanted substances within the digestive tract. In its raw state, however, it is not suitable for use as a finished ingestible ingredient. This is why the quality, purification, and particle control of the zeolite are so important.
For use in Toxaprevent, the clinoptilolite undergoes a specialised purification and activation process designed to enhance its cleanliness, consistency, and functional performance. This is the “activated” part of MANC®. The “modified” part refers to the careful optimisation of the particle size (keeping it between 8 & 12 microns) so the ingredient is suited to local use within the gut.
This processing is central to what makes Toxaprevent distinctive. The aim is to ensure that the clinoptilolite remains within the gastrointestinal tract, where it can adsorb selected unwanted environmental pollutants and toxins that we are exposed to daily, ensuring they are naturally eliminated from your body through bowel movements.
Toxaprevent’s MANC® ingredient has also been developed with a strong focus on purity, safety, and consistency, supported by quality-controlled manufacturing standards. In the UK, EU and UAE markets, Toxaprevent is classified as a medical device, reflecting its physical mode of action in the gut and the regulatory assessment of its safety and performance.
Its manufacturing standards include recognised quality systems for both general quality management and medical device production, adhering to strict ISO 9001 and ISO 13485.
In simple terms, MANC® is our zeolite, which gives Toxaprevent its premium character: a carefully purified, activated, and particle-optimised form of natural clinoptilolite zeolite designed to work locally in the gut, grounded in quality and control.
Why should zeolite never enter the liver, kidneys or pass into the bloodstream to be metabolised?
Toxaprevent is designed and proven purposefully to work locally in the digestive tract, not systemically in the body. This is an important part of its safety-focused design.
Zeolite clinoptilolite is a natural mineral, which means it does not dissolve or break down as many conventional ingredients do. Its role in Toxaprevent is to act physically within the gut, where it adsorbs selected unwanted substances and supports their natural elimination through bowel movements.
For this reason, Toxaprevent’s Zeolite Clinoptilolite MANC® has been carefully processed and particle-optimised to remain within the gastrointestinal tract. In simple terms, it is intended to have a clear route in through the digestive system and out again naturally, without being absorbed, burdening the bloodstream, or being processed by the liver or kidneys.
This gut-local mode of action is one of the features that make Toxaprevent distinct. Rather than relying on systemic absorption or metabolic processing, it is designed to work exactly where it is needed: within the gut.
The focus behind Toxaprevent’s development has always been on demonstrating where it works, how it works, and that it is naturally eliminated after binding to the environmental pollutants. This is a key reason why Toxaprevent is the premium, gold-standard, science-led Zeolite.
Can I take Toxaprevent with medication?
Toxaprevent can be used alongside medication, but it should not be taken at the same time. To avoid affecting the binding of medication in the digestive tract, it is recommended to leave at least a two-hour gap between Toxaprevent and any other medication.
As a general guide, take your medication first, then wait at least two hours before taking Toxaprevent. Where appropriate, many people find it easiest to take medication with a meal, then use Toxaprevent later once that two-hour window has passed.
If you would like help working out the best timing, our team can help you think through your routine alongside your practitioner’s guidance. You can contact us at hello@madebydaily.com with the following information:
- The time you take your medication
- The times you usually eat
- The time you usually go to sleep

Will Toxaprevent bind to heavy metals or histamine in my entire body or just my gut?
Toxaprevent is designed to work locally in the gut, not by travelling through the bloodstream, liver, or kidneys. Its active ingredient, Zeolite Clinoptilolite MANC®, is designed to remain in the digestive tract, where it adsorbs selected heavy metals and other unwanted compounds, supporting their natural elimination through bowel movements.
This is an important part of how Toxaprevent is designed to work. Rather than being absorbed into the body, it acts physically in the gastrointestinal tract, helping to reduce the amount of unwanted substances we are exposed to daily in the gut during elimination, i.e. making a bowel movement.
With consistent daily use, Toxaprevent supports the body’s natural clearance processes over time. This is because some stored toxic compounds are released into the digestive tract through normal digestive pathways, such as by being placed in bile, which aids digestion. By binding them in the gut, Toxaprevent removes them from circulation and prevents their reabsorption in the gut.
In simple terms, Toxaprevent does not enter the body to “chase” heavy metals through tissues where both the heavy metal and the zeolite can end up becoming trapped or stored. Instead, Toxaprevent works in a gut-focused, non-systemic way, supporting the body’s own elimination pathways from within the digestive tract.
This local mode of action is one of the key features that sets Toxaprevent apart from all other binders. Its particle-optimised Zeolite Clinoptilolite MANC® is specifically designed to stay in the gut, where it can bind selected unwanted substances and then leave the body naturally. This safety-focused design is central to Toxaprevent’s premium, evidence-led profile.
Why this matters
- Designed to remove toxins from the whole body via the normal detox pathways i.e. the gut
- Not absorbed into the bloodstream
- Does not place a burden on the liver or kidneys
- Supports natural elimination of heavy metals
- Designed for daily use as part of a long-term wellness routine
